Divine Order
Well, if you missed my announcement this past Sunday, I talked about how Divine Order doesn’t always work out the way we think it will, but it always works out the way it should! Last week, the Board was very excited as we were about to finalize a contract with someone to come and be our Transition Minister beginning August 1! We had planned to meet with this person this past Friday evening to “seal the deal”. Unfortunately, last Thursday I learned that this person had to have emergency bypass surgery and will be unavailable until September 1, at the earliest. Of course, we were quite concerned for this person’s wellbeing and, of course, disappointed that they would not be available as hoped.
So, the Board will be meeting this week to “regroup” and move forward in continuing our search for a Transition Minister. We have already been in touch with Unity Worldwide Ministries, and they are busy working on a Plan B for us. So where does Divine Order come in, you may ask? Well, here are a couple of “what ifs”. What if this person had signed a contract, agreeing to come to UOC starting August 1 and then had the need for this emergency surgery a week before starting with us?! What is they had this need just AFTER starting with us?! You get the idea.
So, Divine Order has something even greater in store for UOC and this will happen at just the right time with just the right person! In the meantime, everyone at UOC will continue to make up the loving, growing community that we have always been! Whenever our Transition Minister shows up, we will be ready!
