 Earthed examines societal notions of humanity's dominion over the earth a
 nd the ensuing exploitation by integrating sounds from Virginia’s waterw
 ays into new works by contemporary classical composers. This performance a
 cknowledges our need to reawaken our ability to meaningfully connect with 
 our life-sustaining planet and offers moments of connection to the Earth\,
  each other\, and the divine feminine\, often lost in our inherited and il
 lusory ideas of separateness. Through collective moments of transformation
  and connection\, we look to find our path homeward through a creatively i
 maginative and inspiring experience of live music and visuals. \nAbout Fu
 se Ensemble: Fuse Ensemble is a unique electroacoustic chamber music ense
 mble. Each season a concept is presented\, giving voice to new music compo
 sers and creating musical happenings with visual elements of live or inter
 active video\, electronics or kinetic installations. They joyfully collabo
 rate with sculptors\, visual artists\, instrument makers\, poets.  \nThis
  event is partially funded by the Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA)
